Consumers Take Issue with Aidvantage’s Management of Federal Student Loans

It has been barely three months since [the newly-created Maximus affiliate] Aidvantage took over Navient’s portfolio of 5.6 million federal student loan accounts, but the new servicer is already running afoul of some borrowers.
The National Consumer Financial Protection Bureau has received nearly 100 complaints from federal student loan borrowers accusing Aidvantage of giving them bad information about their loans or posting incorrect account details.
